Thank you, Simon Mortimer and your team, for providing the workshop, the feedback has been very positive, and we look forward to running another event together!
Anna Daniels, Chief Executive Officer at Involved Investors
On the 30th January we ran our first joint workshop with Involved Investors. The event was aimed at Founders, Hiring Managers, and HR professionals looking to improve their hiring strategies in order to successfully scale their teams.
As we're all aware, finding and retaining the best talent is becoming harder and harder. With an increasingly international workforce, serious skills shortages within the UK, and high levels of inter-business competition, it's more important than ever to have a clear strategy for talent attraction, engagement and retention in place.
Luckily, we've spent over a decade solving these exact challenges, allowing us to discuss and share a range of creative solutions to the critical hiring roadblocks that high-growth businesses can face.

The Talks
We presented three talks as part of the workshop, each one crafted to answer questions from a specific subsection of the hiring journey.
Each talk was followed by a 15+ minute Q&A session to allow attendees to get more bespoke solution crafting from our experts.
Following an introduction from Anna about Involved Investors themselves, our co-founder and CEO, Simon Mortimer, took the stage. Simon presented the eight key optimisations that have the greatest impact on creating a successful hiring strategy, pulling on his personal experiences from over a decade working in the recruitment industry. If you're interested, we've cut together some of the highlights from the 40minute presentation:
Next up was Margarita Karapetkova, our very own Head of Product. She discussed some of the best practices any company can employ to create vacancies that are both attractive and realistic within the constrains of the hiring market.
Finally, following a break for lunch, Dan Wells closed out the workshop. As Head of People at Talent Point, Dan is both integral to our internal staff training and L&D initiatives, as well as being the mastermind behind the interview training that we provide to our partners. His talk focused on how you can avoid the most common mistakes that companies make when interviewing people.

The Future
We had some excellent feedback from both Involved Investors and the companies that attended the workshop; we truly believe this was a massively beneficial event for everyone who came along.
We're already in talks with Involved Investors to put on a follow up workshop, but it's our goal to make this information as broadly available as possible.
As such, if you'd be interested in partnering with us to produce a workshop or similar event for companies of any size to learn about best practice solutions to common hiring problems, do get in touch with Simon Mortimer.
