About Nimbus.
Having signed numerous new contracts, Nimbus were entering a period of growth with high spend on external agencies and without a solidified internal recruitment function to accruate track and manage internal recruitment processes and candidate success.
Historically, job adverts had been ineffective in attracting SC cleared candidates and interviews took a more flexible approach which would see a higher rate of candidate success based on personal background, rather than matching a skill matrices.
Understanding that this wasn't scalable, Nimbus were looking to build a proven talent function with successful, formalised hiring processes rather than depend on the high cost of agency hiring.

Our solution.
To implement a successful end-to-end talent function from scratch, our team sourced an ATS, external advertisement and sourcing sites, set up formal interview processes, documentation, products and standardised messaging and formats.
Creating campaign briefs for all roles provided a clearer, more detailed role criteria, improving the sell to potential applicants and increasing internal attraction. We utilised market reports to advise hiring managers on the market for critical changes such as salary/day rate increases, skill alternatives and widening talent pools to exclude current and active SC clearance, leading to a more hires at a faster pace.
Working alongside the internal HR function, our team have advised on key projects to improve hiring across the business including, an audit of the current onboarding process, the creation of Talent Process Documentation to improve our off-boarding, and interview training and onboarding welcome packs for new employees.
Additionally we implemented Interview Guides to create fair, consistent and standardised interviews across the business.
The impact.
Our impact at Nimbus is clear. We're leaving the business with new formalised processes and a talent function which has been proven to operate successfully, rather than depend on agency hiring and additional cost.
Nimbus is now set to scale and an employer brand that has seen a 95% acceptance rate on offers with a nine day candidate interview process. Cost per hire is at an all time low, allowing greater investment in the areas that need it, rather than external spend.
